• 2011 is looking like another improving year in the Real Estate Market.  2010 showed an improvement over 2009.  Progress comes in small steps.  Speaking of small steps, the interest rate has begun to rise, in small steps.  It is better to act on the purchase of a home with the rates lower than it is to try to get the seller to come down a couple thousand dollars.  In the time you negotiate back and forth, an increase in interest rates may exceed the savings you achieved with the lower negotiated price and could make your monthly payment even higher.  Inventory levels have been coming down so there are not as many homes available.  While there is still a healthy inventory, the increase in buyers will consume the inventory fairly quickly.  Then, prices will begin to float higher.  Truly, time is of the essence.  The time to buy is now.  Remember, every 1/8 point increase in interest rate will knock a large number of buyers out of the market.  You will not find BOTH Mortgage Rates and prices low for long.  The bottom line is the time to act is NOW!   Call or EMail today to let me know how I can help you.
